The two most common types of analysis used in the markets today are either Technical or Fundamental. Technical analysis is based on historical price charts and is based on a belief that history repeats itself in patterns. These patterns manifest themselves in life and also the financial markets. If a pattern can repeat, then a formula for probability can also be applied and used in making trading decisions. Some examples of simple technical analysis are support/resistance, moving averages, volume, momentum, etc. Fundamental analysis, however, relates to economic news reports, interest rate adjustments, government reports, etc. It has been theorized that technical analysis is more beneficial in the short term while fundamental analysis focuses on the long term.

The trading team at Harbinger Capital Investments encourages a blending of these two analysis types in making investment decisions. We use the following principles in achieving growth for our client’s accounts.

  • Harbinger Capital Investments niche is in the FX market. Currency transactions are contracts which clear through a non-exchange mechanism that has a two day value date, and after two days the contract expires.
  • We use a proprietary trading system that uses low leverage yet still is able to generate above average returns.
  • Strict money management is used. Low leverage principles are used to help lower risk on open trades.

Our managed fund program provides the following benefits:

  • Asset diversification.
  • Disciplined trading through low leverage philosophy.
  • Profit potential in both rising and falling markets.
  • An alternative to low yielding instruments like bonds and money market accounts.
  • Real time account management with daily, monthly and yearly reporting.
  • Liquidity of assets. Customers can withdraw accounts at anytime without penalties or fees.
